At Shreveport Direct Care, I can't ignore the glaring issues within the traditional healthcare system any longer. I have been a primary care physician in Shreveport Bossier since the 1990's and have taught hundreds of young doctors at LSUHSC. Most of them will tell you that I have very high expectations of the young doctors I mentor and the care they provide. The whole system just feels broken and I was having a hard time living up to my own expectations- long waits, rushed visits, and ultimately impersonal care that is not affordable, accessible or personalized. Unfortunately, just because you have health insurance does not even mean that you can always get care.

I knew there had to be a better way and began a journey towards opening Shreveport Direct Care- a primary care practice in Shreveport caring for both kids and adults. I set out on a mission to create something entirely different. A medical practice that just doesn't just fix the problems with traditional healthcare but redefines your patient experience altogether.

I want to deliver elevated primary care—a Michelin-star level of service where proactive, forward-thinking medicine meets you where you are in your health and healthcare journey. This care is evidenced based and delivered by a wellness-minded physician who truly understands the importance of personalized care. Additionally, I can lead you through what is often referred to as medicine 3.0- an emerging philosophy in medicine that shifts the model of care from a focus on disease treatment to prevention with longevity as a particular focus.
